Isaac Reina studied Architecture and Fashion in Barcelona. He worked as a men’s collection designer for several years. Till 2006 he worked as assistant of artistic director for the men’s collection of Hermès. At 2006 he made his first bag collection under the name ‘Edition de sacs’ and opened his first shop in Paris. Alongside his own work he collaborates with Maison Martin Margiela and Cacharel.
He’s trying to make very simple goods, so normal, without any pretention. Almost industrial, mass market shapes... but handcrafted, giving priority to the quality. His inspiration he gets from industrial aesthetics, basic packaging, die-cutting, paperboard folding. He is also been influenced by some architects and designers like Arne Jacobsen, Charlotte Perriand, Jonathan Ive and Jasper Morrison.
